Walker Social Club operates under OSIRIS LUXURY EVENTS, S.A. DE C.V. (RFC OLE231221Q52), located at Carretera México-Toluca, Sendero Santa Fe 5454, Interior 401 Torre C, Colonia El Yaqui, Cuajimalpa de Morelos, C.P. 05320, Mexico City (“Walkers” or the “Controller”). Privacy contact: [PENDING].
Pending — EU Representative (GDPR Art. 27): because Walkers offers services to EU residents on a non-occasional basis, the law requires appointing a representative established in an EU Member State to handle requests from data subjects and authorities. To be appointed before formally operating with European applicants.
This Notice is governed, depending on the data subject's location, by: the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Mexico); the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada); and the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 — GDPR (European Union).
Through the application form, we collect: identification and contact details, available budget, lifestyle information and travel preferences, chosen destination, and travel medical insurance information.
Sensitive data: information related to medical insurance and, where applicable, health conditions relevant to the physical activity of the trip, is considered "sensitive personal data" (LFPDPPP) or a "special category of data" (GDPR Art. 9). This requires EXPLICIT, separate consent — a distinct checkbox, not bundled into general terms acceptance.
(a) Evaluating and scoring the application to determine trip eligibility.
(b) Personalizing the itinerary, destination, and trip logistics (flights, lodging, meals).
(c) Managing the digital membership (Walker News).
(d) Communication related to the application, the trip, and the Walkers community.
If the internal scoring engine accepts or rejects an application on a fully automated basis, without human review, EU-based data subjects have the right to: request human intervention, express their point of view, and contest the decision. Recommendation: add a human review step before the final decision, or expressly document the data subject's consent to automated decision-making.
Data is stored on [PENDING] (provider/infrastructure) and retained for [PENDING], after which it will be deleted or anonymized, unless a longer legal retention obligation applies.
Pending: because Walkers operates from Mexico and receives applicants from the European Union, any transfer of EU data subjects' personal data to Mexico requires a valid transfer mechanism under GDPR Chapter V — typically Standard Contractual Clauses. To be formalized before processing European applicant data at scale.
Data subjects in Mexico: ARCO rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, Opposition), exercisable at [PENDING].
Data subjects in Canada: right of access and correction under PIPEDA, and right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Data subjects in the European Union: right of access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), portability, objection, restriction of processing, and right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of their country of residence.
By completing the application form and accepting this Notice, the applicant grants consent for the processing of their data for the purposes described herein. Consent for processing sensitive data (health/medical insurance) is obtained separately and explicitly.
